Feeling guilty, Lu Xiaochun remained silent for the rest of the morning, finally approaching Shen Tiantian with an apology during their lunch break.

“Sorry, Tiantian.
I feel bad that you got scolded too,” Lu Xiaochun said, her face filled with regret.

Shen Tiantian stretched her body and rubbed her sore shoulders before laughing, “It’s okay.”

“To show my apology, I’ll treat you to some milk tea,” Lu Xiaochun said with a generous smile that was as infectious as her kind heart. 

Shen Tiantian couldn’t contain her laughter and exposed her friend, “You’re just using this as an excuse to get some milk tea for yourself.”

“Don’t rat me out, I’m hurt,” Lu Xiaochun pouted, “I need the milk tea to replenish my energy.”

Lu Xiaochun loves to drink milk tea.
To her, there’s no problem that a cup of milk tea can’t fix.
And if one cup doesn’t do the trick, she’ll simply indulge in a second cup.

Shen Tiantian has a relatively quiet personality and she gets along well with others.
On the other hand, Lu Xiaochun is extremely outgoing, but her directness can sometimes cause unintentional offense.

Their relationship in the office is good, and they occasionally go to the company cafeteria together for meals.
Shen Tiantian followed Lu Xiaochun to a nearby milk tea shop.

Shen Tiantian looked around the nearby restaurants, which were mostly crowded at this time.
She didn’t have anything in particular she wanted to eat, so she asked, “Do you have anything in mind?”

“Is it Tuesday today?” Lu Xiaochun asked, seeming to avoid the question.

Shen Tiantian thought for a moment and nodded, asking, “Yeah, why?”

“Let’s go to the company cafeteria!” Lu Xiaochun said with a grin, “I want to have their sweet and sour pork.”

Shen Tiantian replied, “Sure.”

Perhaps out of habit from holding her boyfriend’s hand, Lu Xiaochun didn’t let go of Shen Tiantian’s hand throughout the entire outing.

The company cafeteria is on the seventh floor.
Everyone should have left work by now, and there were only two people in the elevator – them.
For some reason, out of the blue, Lu Xiaochun asked, “Do you think Manager Tian has a boyfriend?”

Tian Jing was only in her early thirties, and she appeared to have taken care of herself well despite looking slightly fatigued.
In fact, she looked two or three years younger than her actual age.
Additionally, she was also successful in her career, so there should be no shortage of suitors.

However, this was a personal matter, and Shen Tiantian didn’t want to pry into her boss’s private life too much.
“I don’t know,” she replied.

 After washing their hands, Lu Xiaochun naturally circled her arm around Shen Tiantian’s, although Shen Tiantian wasn’t used to it, she didn’t pull her arm back.

The elevator opened on the seventh floor, with two women standing one in front of the other.
When Shen TianTian saw the face of the person in front of her, she was momentarily stunned.

‘Wasn’t this the woman who walked in on me doing something embarrassing in the bathroom earlier?’

Due to her embarrassment and haste to leave in the morning, she had only managed to steal a few glances.

The elevator closed at the scheduled time, and they only reacted after a while.
But before they could press the button again, the door reopened.

“Aren’t you coming in?”

As a sweet voice interrupted their thoughts, Shen Tiantian and her colleague snapped out of their daze.
They exchanged a grateful nod and thanked the person before stepping into the elevator together.

Shan Yi took a step back and lowered her eyes, glancing at the intertwined hands of the two women, feeling a mix of emotions.
Her gaze was slightly ambiguous as she observed them.

As if sensing the woman’s gaze, Shen Tiantian blinked awkwardly, her heart beating faster.

No one spoke in the elevator, and they could only hear the faint sound of the elevator’s operation.
Shen Tiantian was afraid that her heartbeat would be heard, and nervously watched the numbers change, hoping that the elevator would reach the office floor soon.

For some reason, she was inexplicably nervous, especially knowing that the woman was looking at her.

“Ding!” The elevator stopped on the 17th floor, and Lu XiaoChun pulled her and hurried out.

The elevator closed, and soon stopped on the 18th floor.

As soon as she closed the office door, Shan Yi immediately opened her laptop, and an email from Yang Li popped up.

She propped her chin up with one hand and slowly scrolled with the other hand.
In less than two minutes, her fingertips stopped, and a faint smile appeared at the corner of her eyes.
