Chapter 21

Karrolf nodded happily.

The puppy tugged at Alexa’s clothes and urged her.
Because he was still on the treatment table, he was standing with his feet on Alexa’s shoulder and groaned several times.
It seemed like he was feeling uncomfortable.
He then turned around and round.

“Are you alright, Ysu? Noona’s sorry.
Was it hard for you?” Alexa stroked the puppy’s head.

Being petted, the puppy opened its mouth wide and vomited everything it had eaten. How pitiful it was to see the puppy throw up everything from its stomach.

When tears started to well up again in Alexa’s eyes, Karrolf clicked his tongue and spoke.

“I’m afraid you are in a lot of trouble.”

“Thank you for letting me know.” Visten answered at once, but Ysildus doesn’t seem to like it.

It wasn’t unusual for him to stare at the two of them and bare his fangs.

Jeez, this detestable little puppy. Visten stuck out his tongue at him.
But well, that doesn’t mean Ysildus could do anything.

“Kyaah! Why!”

Because he was busy throwing up black liquid.

Karrolf kindly recommended a book that might be helpful for Alexa. I hope this task will help you a lot.

Other students would have fainted if they had seen Karrolf’s kindness. Because it wasn’t like Karrolf who always insisted that you do good in your studies! In any case, Alexa was the last pupil to benefit greatly from Karrolf.

Alexa was devoutly reading a book while Terrun and Ysildus were asleep on the floor.
She flipped on through the book and carefully looked at the picture.
There were two pills in front of her.
Alexa chose three among the pills that induce vomiting.
She chose mainly those that were not strong enough to be used for young children, but she couldn’t figure out which one of them was the subject of her assignment.

Alexa sighed heavily.

‘Would it be alright to see it in person….’

Ah! I can go see it for myself!

Alexa jumped up.
Rather than worrying like this, she thought that it would be better for her to go to the herbal shop and check it out.
Of course, she could use a more convenient way by directly asking the apothecary about the medicine, but she didn’t want to do that.

Alexa put back the pills inside her pocket and jumped up to wake Terrun and Ysildus.

“Stop sleeping and wake up~”

“What is it…?” Terrun mumbled in a low voice as he rubbed his eyes.
Alexa was shaking Terrun to wake him up.

“What’s going on?”

“Arf!”

Ysildus inevitably wiggled between Alexa and Terrun.
Alexa hugged Ysu tightly and stood up.

“No! Let’s go out! I want to go to the market!”

More accurately, to the herbal shop!!

She had read so many books in fact that she had already memorized them.
She had been very excited since last night and she was unable to sleep because she had only read the books.
Alexa knew well about medicines for animals as she had only studied veterinary medicine, so she had no chance to learn about medicines for humans. I can’t believe I’m studying two things together!

Alexa trembled at her greed to study.
And so for the first time, it was decided that two humans and one animal would go out.

Meanwhile.

The knights patrolling near Thersion sensed a strange aura.
It was different from the humans living near the Thersion Territory and was more like the aura of a poorly trained human knight.

The knights jumped off their horses as their ears perked without showing it out.
In this case, running on two feet would be more mobile and faster than riding a horse.

The knights ran in a long distance without a sound.
After they received the signal, they went around the Thersion’s fortress and entered the gate.

“What kind of b*st*rd is jumping over the walls of Thersion?”

“I don’t know.
There’s always some people who got some guts bigger than their stomach.”

“… What should we do in this situation? Should we catch them?”

“Wouldn’t it be right to take them back? Since the Grand Duke isn’t here, you must know something about this.”

“If you take them to Baron Visten, he will have them executed immediately.”

The knights scratched their heads.

Not far away, they could see the scoundrels they were looking for.
The number of the people attempting to climb the fence is about five.
There were only five human knights who were about to cross the walls of Thersion.

The two knights snorted.
The fact that there were only a few patrolling around Thersion doesn’t mean they were laxing.
They were highly vigilant even if they appeared simple and ruled by force and power.
And now, under Baron Visten’s leadership, the road and water projects in the territory are in full progress.

All the knights were on high alert as they had no choice because of the supplies going in and out.

“They looked like they were telling us, ‘Take me in the open’.”

The knights clicked their tongues and made eye contact.

“If the wall was too high for them and they couldn’t cross it, just let them go and then catch the ones who can cross over.”

“Good idea.”

The two knights jumped over the wall, and then they stood with their hands on their sides where they could feel the human’s presence.
Of course, the human knights trying to come inside were also making serious efforts.

“The wall is terribly high.”

“If it wasn’t for what the Emperor had ordered….”

“Did you make sure no one was around?”

“There are only two knights patrolling at this hour.
We can just kill them if they find us.”

The knights managed to cross over the wall holding their breath.
The rest of them asked with their ears glued to the wall.

“Zaneh, are you alright?”

They heard nothing.
When he tilted his head in confusion, another knight crossed the wall.

“Hup!”

“Zaneh! What’s the matter!”

“Ah, it’s nothing.”

And making turns, the knights had finally crossed the wall.
And they realized why the Thersion’s knights were great and why no one guards the wall.
It was because two knights standing with their arms crossed and a monster-like face was enough to subdue them.

“These ignorant people.”

“Should you cross over someone else’s wall, or not?”

“That… we…”

The faces of the five human knights turned pale.
No matter what happens, they must never reveal their faces.
Kneeling on the ground, the five knights swallowed their saliva.

“Listen carefully, this big brother will give you two options.
One, return quietly.”

If they do go back, they will die by the Emperor’s hands.
The five knights shook their heads violently.

The two Thersion knights frowned at them. Why are they so confident?

“Did you come to play at someone else’s house? Phew, anyway, the second one! Be taken inside the Thersion Castle, beaten to death, tell the truth, and then be brutally killed at the hands of Baron Visten.”

The five knights again shook their heads violently.
They were the elite knights from the Imperial Family, not assassins specialized in this kind of work.
The five knights exchanged glances.

“We came here because we want to become Th-Thersion’s kn-knight!”

“Hah.”

“Geez.”

They think that it won’t work no matter how simple they are.
Besides, Thersion never accepts knights from the outside.

The two knights exchanged mischievous glances with each other.

‘Let’s roll them to death.’

‘Let’s roll them until they say they would want to quit and go out.’

‘Toys for fun have arrived.’

‘I’m bored, so this would be fun.’

It wasn’t to their jurisdiction even if they (the five human knights) were to be bitten by the Grand Duke and his wife’s teeth, who would return after they (the two Thersion knights) rolled them around to their heart’s content.
After all, they didn’t listen to them when they told them to go out.

“Great.
Follow us.”

The faces of the five knights brightened.
They didn’t expect for their words to work on them and began to have pleasant dreams.
They had infiltrated Thersion as knights and cool spies.

The news that Alexa, Terrun and Ysildus are going to the market quickly circulated the Grand Duchy.
Some of them were very concerned that Alexa could be in trouble if she went there, while others said that it would be a great opportunity for Alexa to learn more about Thersion.

The other day, they heard that Alexa didn’t go out often even when she lived outside for a week.
Therefore, no one could predict what Alexa would experience and learn through this outing.

In any case, the preparations for the outing were carried out steadily in the midst of their divided opinions.

“Are you going to go out alone?”

“She would be going out Terrun and Young Master Ysildus.”

Visten answered the butler’s words in a dignified manner.

“Take this to the Deputy Knights Chief.”

However, the paper Visten gave him was something entirely different.
On the paper in the name of the acting Family Head’, there was a list of knights who would accompany Alexa on the outing, all of which were elite knights living in the castle.
The butler secretly snorted and nodded his head.

The Head Maid was busy putting on the cutest and prettiest clothes for Alexa.
Her reddish-brown hair and blue eyes looked particularly good in the pale pink dress, and she pulled out the most recent dress bought for her.

She was wearing a matching red shoe and a white ribbon wrapped around her waist.
The Head Maid then put on a pink hat on Alexa’s round head as if it doesn’t seem to be enough for her, which was also a popular beret among the children of Thersion.

“Terrun, what do you think?”

Waiting for the preparing Alexa, Terrun lifted his head.
