Even though it was not his personal life story, Park Sun-jae felt extremely sad for Kim Jae-hoon. He can imagine how much pain his wifes death has caused him and on top of that, he lost his child in the process as well. So, Sun-jae was feeling sorry for him.

After Kim Jae-hoon calm down a bit and was ready to talk again, Park Sun-jae approached him.

”Are you feeling better now? ”

”Yes. ”

”Im glad to hear it. By the way, Im curious about something. Can I ask you about it? ”

”What is it? ”

”Were you able to catch the serial killer in the end? ” he asked. ”I know its a lot to ask and its fine if you don want to talk about it. I just wanted to know if you brought justice to him or not. ”

Although it was a sensitive topic to talk about, Park Sun-jae wanted to know if this evil-like bastard was captured or not. After causing so much destruction to several families in a row, it would be unfair for him to roam so freely without receiving any punishment for his crimes. And it was obvious that no one would sit back and watch after going through so much because of one man.

”Yes, it did take lots of effort and time to capture him to be honest. After the incident with our families gone overnight, we were so devastated that the investigation came to a halt. Later, our team was disbanded and the serial murder case became an unsolved case because no one was willing to take it considering the risks it involved. ”

”Although most of them were not willing to risk their familys safety, there were those who had no family or some who had already lost their loved ones. For example, few of my team members including me joined in the operation. Since we were fearless and had nothing to lose, we didn care what would happen to either of us. Our only goal was vengeance. ”

”One year later on Christmas Eve, we were able to catch our criminal red-handed. However, the serial killer escaped again from the police vehicle which was responsible for bringing him in for questioning. He knocked the officers who were in the car before throwing them out and stole it to ran away from us. ”

”So, what happened afterwards? ” Park Sun-jae impatiently asked as he was dying from suspense and wanted to know the end result.

On the other hand, Kim Jae-hoon calmly answered him with another question. ”Do you remember when I said that I was in an accident before I came here? ”

”Yes! I remember. What about it? ”

”At that time, the criminal I was chasing was the same serial killer who we were trying to catch for the past two years. ”

Park Sun-jae widened his eyes in shock.

”What the!? So… what happened to him? ”

”While we were chasing him, his car clashed with another vehicle and I was right behind his car. I threw my motorcycle away and rushed to rescue him. But when I reached his vehicle, it exploded along with the other car and I flew far away from them as a result. Thats when I lost my consciousness. ”

”I see. So, he must be dead… ”

”Yeah, probably. I wanted to catch that criminal with my own hands. But before I knew it, I found myself here in this world with a new body. ”

Both sighed deeply at the situation in front of them.

Suddenly, something cropped up in Park Sun-jaes mind as he spoke to Kim Jae-hoon immediately.

”What if we both died at the same time and thats when we exchanged bodies? ”

Kim Jae-hoon raised his eyebrows. ”What are you trying to say? ”

”Just think about it for a second. We both had an accident which was life-threatening. I mean, does it even make sense that I survived the fall from that cliffs height and still in good shape? Maybe- ”

”Wait! ” Kim Jae-hoon interrupted. ”I know what you are trying to say. But if that was the case, how are you still in a ghost form? Why aren you in my body then? That doesn add up to your theory either. Look, even I tried to think that way and search for the cause related to the phenomena happened to us. However, without any solid proof or theory, this is just one of your baseless assumptions. Thats all. ”

”Actually, I took that point into account before presenting my theory to you and I can more or less guess what happened to us. ” Park Sun-jae smiled.

”Oh, really? Then, tell me. ”

”You said yourself that you were in an accident that involves explosion, right? ”

”Yes, that is what I said. So what? ”

”You see, my theory is that when we exchanged bodies, your soul was able to enter mine because my body was intact. However, in your case, the body might have destroyed to the point that it is irreparable. ”

”Destroyed in what sense? ” Kim Jae-hoon couldn understand what he was saying when the next sentence he spoke made him think – Was that possible?.

”I mean urned completely in that explosion. So, it would be a waste for my soul to enter a useless body like that. ” Park Sun-jae said excitedly.

”Hmm… ” The young man turned silent for a moment there and thought deeply about the theory he stated. ”If you put it that way, it would indeed make sense. However, we still need some proof that it actually happened like that in our case. ”

”Well. Now my friend, we have to reach your city first and then decide what to do next. ” He said while looking at the sunrise over the horizon.

”Oh? Its already morning. Time sure flies fast, huh. ”

”Yes, especially when you are talking to a stranger about your life. ” he said sarcastically.

The ghost frowned a little and replied. ”I am really sorry about it. I shouldn have asked. I unnecessarily made you remember some bad memories that you might want to forget. ”

Kim Jae-hoon chuckled ”Brother, Im just messing with you. Don worry, Im fine now. Honestly, it actually feels better after sharing my life story with you. ”

”Good to know. ”
