”30 more EXP and I am going to be level 3 pumpkin. And you are level 2 now too, Hm…you will get more EXP if you keep spitting that poison and I kill them. ” Pumpkin nodded at Amils words. He was getting more and more intelligent after leveling up and his connection with his master.

”Listen…you might as well kill the level 1s here. ” Amil said while thinking. ”Now pumpkin, while I am gone, you will kill every level 1 you see till I come back. ”

Pumpkin frowned of being told to get off his masters tail, Amil just sighed and continued.

”You can eat anything you kill but go hide somewhere if you find a kobold above your level and if below then just spit poison on them and leave ” Pumpkin kept nodding his head at the thought of food.

He went wiggling out in the outside forest, following him Amil went at the full speed with 5 wolf in tow, 2 in the bag while he was carrying the other 3. He had no choice but to leave the other 4.

Upon reaching the tribe, he went directly to the merchant, sold the corpses for 50 gold coins, bought 2 more healing potions and went home for meeting the family.

”Where is pumpkin? ” His mother asked.

”Hello to you to mom, I have sent him leveling in the outside forest. ”

”But what if he die…?! ”

”he is level 2 now mom, the other snakes will be no problem. It seems you care about him more that your own son ” Amil said with an eyebrow up.

”No-No sweetheart, thats not true, tell me everything that happened today, you have a good adventure every time you go. ”

Amil told him everything to which she listened with glitters in her eyes.

”You are going to be level 3 soon, that was very fast, Amil. Its all because of that pack you hunted. But I am so proud of you~ ”

”There is one more thing, I and your father won be able to meet you for someday, we are going to attack a nearby Kobold tribe. ”

”WHAT! Will you be okay there?! ”

”Yes Sweetheart, there are not many that can kill me as me and your father are one of the strongest in the tribe ”

Amil knew about that, but he still felt worried for his own parents. He stayed there for a little more hour and then went to look for pumpkin.

He reached the outer forest in like a minute, he started searching for pumpkin, he had observed before that he could feel that pumpkin was near due to their mind link.

When he felt the familiar aura, he ran directly towards him. Upon reaching, he saw pumpkin being attacked by 3 snakes at once. He wanted to go there fast but waited for seeing pumpkins improvement.

Pumpkin with his higher agility went towards one of the snakes and swung his tail horizontally grabbing the snake by the neck. Due to the increased strength, the other snake couldn get out of the grip. One of the snakes at that time went towards pumpkin with speed and tried to bite him on the neck but alas forgot that pumpkin was higher level, due to the long body, he dodged the bite while still gripping on the other snake by the tail. He speedily went to the attacking snakes neck and bit it. It struggled and whined a lot.

The third snake took the opportunity and went for a bite, pumpkin looked at it helplessly and determined himself to get hurt but he saw a silhouette move speedily and splitting the third snake into two parts with his pointy nails.

”Carry on, don lose the good EXP ” Amil grinned looking proudly at pumpkin.

Pumpkins eyes lit up, he put some strength in his tail breaking the first snakes neck while the second was already pale from the blood loss.

Pumpkin put both down and went to Amils neck caressing it with affection.

”Good Job, you made me proud ” he said while caressing pumpkins head.

”Don you want to eat them? ” Amil questioned looking at the two snakes that pumpkin killed with his own strength.

Pumpkin just shook his head while again wrapping himselfon Amils tail.

Amil looked at pumpkins status and was surprised.

”You got 50 EXP before these 2 making it 70, just how much did you eat.? ” Amil asked with furrowed brows but did not even get a hiss. He saw pumpkin quietly sleeping all wrapped up on hiss tail.

He shook his head and went to the tribe again walking to not disturb the glutton snakes sleep.

Upon reaching home he saw all his family members sitting in the lobby eating dinner. They saw pumpkin not reacting in the site of food and asked Amil what happened.

He told them everything thoroughly making all of them proud of the young warriors.

”Amil, you know, pumpkin will be able to speak at his first evolution at level 10. Not many wild snakes get to see their evolution dying young in the level 1. But those that reach level 10 and evolve are very formidable foes to fight. ”

Amil looked at pumpkin with curiosity, it was as if he saw a new side of the glutton snake. They talked for a while and went to sleep.

”Bye, mother, please come back safe ” Amil said with obvious worry in his voice.

”You too father, protect mother there please ”

”Uhh…you are misunderstanding Amil, your mother is stronger than me, she should be the one protecting me. ”

”Don ruin the mood dad ” Amil said while hugging both of them.

”Oh and take this parting gift ” His mother gave him a ring with glowing red stone at the top.

”Space ring! Are you sure?! This is very expensive. ”

”I have a new one that has 500 meter storage. This is a 100 meter one and its more than enough for you. ”

Amil just kept nodding furiously while his mother told him how to use it. They left soon leaving Amil and his sister alone. They went back home to do their breakfast.

”Sister, I think I will live in my territory for some while to level up quickly. ”

”Your territory? ”

”Yeah, I killed a pack of 10 wolves living there getting their territory. ”

”Thats great but be careful, more beasts will come there seeing the open area ”

”I didn tell you it was an open area.? ”

”Yeah, I know because wolves always make their territory in open areas because of their numbers. Just be careful and go to the leader after your level up, Okay? ”

They talked for a while and in the morning, he and pumpkin went for the inner forest.

The open area that he called his territory had only a single big rock in the centre and grass at the level of ankle. Amil didn do anything to the grass as it will help pumpkin to sneak attack anytime if necessary.

With the help of his increased strength, normal trees were no longer a problem to break, with the use of tackle, the trees just collapse in an instant. After using the skill iron nails, he broke the bark of the trees in two half and dug a whole to erect them.

After a while he made a small rent like structure with the wooden barks. A bed materialized from his space ring in the tent and some curtains.

All this due to his level and strength took only two hours. In the meantime, pumpkin was just sleeping on the bed leisurely.

After making a bonfire, realisation struck him as he didn know how to make a fir. Due to the world being primitive, he didn have a lighter nor he could buy one. He dropped the idea of a good camp for a while and with pumpkin left for finding some EXP grinding material.

He couldn find the wolves again and kept searching till he found a disgusting 2-meter-long big centipede. He disgusted on the site of it as it had about a thousand feet moving all creepily.

”Holy Fuck?! ” Amil shouted as the centipede noticed him and wiggled towards them speedily. Amils heart stopped for two seconds.

He readied his sword in one hand and nails in the other.

The centipede was dangerously close, and his mandible started making chop sounds. Amil thrusted his sword towards its mouth but the centipede just closed his mandibles making the sword stuck, Pumpkin did not wait for orders, as if seeing the centipede as a mortal enemy, he spat poison two times in a row for the first time.

The poison went inside its mouth making him squeal. Amil used the Iron nail and pierced the centipedes what he thought was a neck with all his force. The hand just went past its body reaching the thousands of legs. The moving of the legs speedily around the hand made him creep out as he shouted and retracted his hand and sword.
