Savior of the Heart

The smell of putrid blood seeped with the musk of dirt in the air overflowing the seven mysterious figures standing in formation and the corpse of hundreds splattered on the ground.

A pure womans voice calls out, ”come here, my faithful warriors. Youve all done a great job. Now its time to confirm. ” Then, her eyes coldly narrow, wearing a sweet smile on her innocent face, ”did you find his corpse among the dead? ”

Two of the seven figures reply, ”unfortunately, we did not find him, your royal highness. ”

The other slender figure amusingly chuckles, ”is there a need to find that traitor, your highness? The bastard probably managed to slip through our grasp or died without our notice. ”

The others couldn help but agree to which the pure-faced woman replied, ”…you are right. It seems I was wrong to trust someone I thought was my friend. But you are my loyal seven warriors. I believe you will never betray me. ”

”YOUR HIGHNESS! ” The seven all kneeled obediently before their Queen.

She smiled graciously upon witnessing their undying loyalty, ”now then, enough of my mistakes. Come now. ” She gestured them up to the podium overlooking a giant mountain covered in snow, ”Its now my turn to fulfill my promise to you. But before I can, I must ask the gods to bless this new land I am about to give you seven so it may flourish with an abundance of life. ”

Once the seven warriors stood alongside one another next to her royal highness. The incantation of prayer made them glow as the blood stains splattered among their clothes, face, and armor were cleansed, along with healing any injuries they sustained from the gruesome battle.

Their bodies became as light as a feather as they began to float suspended mid-air.

A thunderous terrifying strong presence that sent shivers down their spines emerged from the sky as the Heavens opened, ”Celestial Maiden Lin Amaroza, my child, it seems youve gathered your most trusted friends to stay alongside you. ”

”Oh, Heavenly Father, God of the Universe, I am but a servant to your glory. Please hear me. Oh, Father. I ask you to bless this land from which my friends and I have wiped all evil. ”

”Evil cannot be destroyed. The one holding the sword cannot be called a savior. Can you promise me those horrendous acts will no longer be practiced amongst the ones you call your friends? ”

Lin Amaroza did not hesitate to nod as she quickly glanced back to see her seven warriors trembling from the mighty Heavenly Fathers pressure. She confidently replies, ”I can swear on my name that my friends do not wish to practice evil in this land. Please, Father, I beseech thee, allow us to live in a land filled with milk and honey. ”

”I hear your plea, my child. I will heed and place my trust in your words as your Father. But in return, you shall exchange more than half of your living years to me. Furthermore, your friends shall share in the consequences of your actions in taking the lives of those vile creatures. I will bestow them with a curse instead of taking the years they have left to live. And I shall seal away their cursed weapons for the Saviors to purify when the end is near. ”

”Thank you, Father. But, unfortunately, it seems you do not trust them. Id love to show you my warriors loyalty. ”

”They shall each take upon an item from the Heavens and engrave their flesh and soul so that a Savior of pure heart may save the future of this land. Now, which two warriors will be the first to receive their gift? ”

Lin Amaroza stood up before kneeling as she called forth her two warriors, ”Cornelius and Angel-Line, please come forth. ”

Once they chose an item, the rest of the warriors came up to receive theirs as Lin Amaroza finally noticed the tension in the air disappeared as the presence of God and the sky was beginning to look smaller and smaller until they safely landed on the earth beneath them.

”My warriors, God fulfilled his word and cleansed the land of death. Therefore, I shall give you the promised land you desire for your people to dwell freely without any shackles. Will Cornelius and Angel-Line please step forward? Is there a location that you desire? ”

Her motherlike gentle words were like sweet candy to their ears when Angel-Line excitedly licks her lips, ”I shall take the North. We wolves prefer our natural habitat. ”

”Very well, any objections? ” Lin looked among the other warriors when they shook their heads.

”I Cornelius would be honored if your royal highness could bestow me with the center. ”

Lin Amaroza and the rest of the warriors gasped when they heard Cornelius ask for the center land.

Cornelius wore a blank expression when he nodded. His fist tightened when he confidently looked at the warriors and her royal highness, ”yes, I do. The center is the heart that connects to the rest of the land. I know the type of responsibility that lays on the heart. ”

Lin immediately nods, ”and yet despite knowing all this, you want to take the center? Are you sure you can protect it? If the heart fails, then the rest of the body dies. ”
