The Only Necromancer

I finally arrived at this place, but it seems this portal is quieter than yesterdays portal. Are portals full of orcs unpopular with hunters? Even though these two portals were E-Rank, the orcs had large bodies unlike goblins. So I guess its normal for new hunters to go to a portal full of goblins. But I will enter this orc portal alone. Looks like I have to register myself first.

”Are you sure you
e going in alone young man? ” The portal supervisor asked me with a bit of concern.

”Don worry I can protect myself! ”

After that I was allowed to enter the portal, and they asked me to take responsibility for my own safety. Actually I don really care anymore, Im sure that only with this I can get stronger quickly.

”Woah… ” Thats all that can come out of my mouth after seeing the place inside this portal. This isn a wooded area like the goblin portal I entered before. This place seems to be a mountain, and its also a bit dark here, the sun is covered in clouds. After all the mountains are an interesting place. I looked around me but I didn see any monsters at all within a 100 meter radius. This is strange, the mountainous area is quite open because the trees here are not so thick. I should be able to see a lot of monsters, but I couldn find a single one. Its also quite tiring because the path is a bit uphill, I have to walk to find where the orcs are. Looks like its quite far from the portal, Ill summon my skeleton army.

”Come out my skeleton army! ”

I don know how many times Ive used this skill, but Im still amazed when I see it. How can I have the ability to store all my skeleton troops, and also its in the form of a black portal. Theres no point in thinking about that now. Id better find out where these orcs are.

After walking for about 5 minutes, I found a strange place. The road is not uphill and the area around here is quite empty. Suddenly I heard some loud footsteps.

*Kurgh* *Kurgh*

I saw a swarm of orcs coming together. Some of them have weapons, some use swords and spears. Their bodies were larger than goblins and they had human-like movements. Damn, I didn expect them to have weapons. There are only 4 orcs up ahead, I should be able to kill them all.

”My skeleton army launch attack! ” I shouted while running towards the orcs.

Because orcs have bigger bodies, they have more gaps. Their movements aren that fast, I can target some of their weak points. My skeleton had already held them back this was my chance to attack immediately. The orc wielding the spear tried to stop me from approaching and attacked me. I ran while ducking down to dodge the attack. Now that he can protect his body, I charge towards his body.

*Slashes*

I managed to kill the orc with a few slashes. This is easier than I thought. Looks like the orc managed to kill some of my skeletons. But my skeleton managed to kill one of them. Ill kill the remaining 2. When they were focused on protecting themselves from my skeleton. I jump behind them, and immediately do a clean slash to the head of them. That way I managed to kill all these orcs unharmed.

Looks like the skill I just got is shadow step. What skill is this should I try.

”Shadow Step ” As soon as I moved, I don know how to explain it. But after I blinked I moved to where I wanted to be. Ill have to try it again to be sure.

”Shadow Step ” Why isn this working, am I targeting a place too far away? Hmm, this confuses me. Lets try one more time, because this skill looks like it will be very useful to me later so I have to master this skill quickly.

”Shadow Step ” I managed to move again to where I want. If I look at the difference, whats the difference?

”Oh, I see! ”

I screamed because I was too excited. It seems that this skill only allows me to move in a place that has a shadow, the name of the skill is Shadow Step. Why am I so stupid? Let the important thing I have mastered this skill now.

Alright, checking the new skill is finished. Now its time for me to try to summon a new skeleton. There are 4 orc corpses here. I have to resurrect them all because they should be stronger than my current goblin skeleton.

”Rise from the dead ”

Woahh.. different from before. My awakened skeleton this time seemed stronger. Was it because they were orcs? I also don know, for sure they are my new troops. The posture of the skeleton orcs looked more human-like compared to the skeleton goblins. And also because of their larger size they should have a stronger defense. This was the first time I summoned a skeleton that was the size of a human. But why am I only able to resurrect 3 of the 4 orcs. Ohh it seems its because the capacity of the skeletons I can summon has reached the limit. I was forced to throw away 1 goblin skeleton.

Well now my army looks much stronger than before, I have 4 skeleton orcs. Even though they were both made of bone, but I could feel it right away that the aura from the skeleton orcs felt stronger even if just a little. Now lets see the stats.

As expected, though not that big of a difference. But orcs have a stronger defense when compared to goblins. They will be more useful to protect me in the future. Now that I have an army of stronger skeletons I can hunt longer in this portal. I also got a new skill like shadow step, so in a dangerous situation I can just run away.

I continued my journey through this portal, for some reason it was very difficult to find orcs. We did run into some orcs but since they were few in number I was able to kill them easily. Honestly I feel right now everything seems very easy for me. Im sure I can raid all E-Rank portals in Korea. Come to think of it that means Im stronger than a party of 5-10 E-Rank hunters. It seems I have become stronger. I thank my skeletons army because without them I wouldn be able to hunt alone. Even though its only been a while but it turns out Ive spent 2 hours hunting in this portal. Ive killed a dozen orcs, should I rest for a bit while looking at my stats.

Honestly I didn think I could increase this much in one portal. Maybe in the future my growth speed will slow down since its just an E-Rank portal, but for now I think its enough. All my stats are over 20, now I feel better. Maybe someday Ill be worthy of joining a guild like Blood Moon, I don know if Pyon Hee-Ra will still accept me. But for now I just need to get stronger, this is also for the sake of my family. If I can clear a portal with a higher rank I can earn more money. I can move to a better place to live with my family. Thats why I can waver in the slightest.
