Ch 19 – Second Generation Ancestor x Illegitimate Child: He Is the Abyss

The final outcome of that stamen was, of course, to be buried in the trash alongside those other flowers.

It’s connection was cut off, and it became a discarded thing.

Lin Sui was actually still quite looking forward to whatever new surprises Yan Qin might bring him, to make life a little bit more interesting.

Unfortunately, the puppy was really too much of a coward.
Lin Sui was only able to sense that faintly discernible, familiar gaze appear one day, but it was hard to find the direction, and then there was nothing after that.

If Yan Qin could suddenly be a bit bolder and kidnap him like this, maybe that sort of thing would be a little bit more interesting.
But this type of thing was just a thought, after all it was impossible in the current circumstances, and besides Yan Qin was not that kind of person.

Yan Qin, this guy, had too many bottom lines and principles.
Even if Yan Qin did something that crossed the line for himself and he considered daring, for him it was just that.

But rules were also good, they made teasing more fun.

Rather than calling it domestication, it would be better to call it provocation.
He just liked the other party’s infatuated, head over heels, bitterly suppressed, helpless look.
It was too delicious.

The System: […..Can you be a little normal? I’m begging you.]

The System’s initial attitude had been bossy and arrogant, but after suffering defeats in every confrontation, even his questions had weakened.

Lin Sui was all smiles as he spoke: [It’s been two minutes since we talked about the cultivation world, do you miss it?]

The System: […..I’m leaving.]

The System ran fast enough that, rather unfortunately, Lin Sui couldn’t catch it.
He still wanted to talk about what happened after his and Yan Qin’s first time.

After that time, Yan Qin went out and said he would take responsibility for him.

This was what Lin Sui was looking for, but Lin Sui didn’t agree.

Firstly, he didn’t like the idea of taking responsibility or not, and he wouldn’t automatically just belong to whomever he slept with.

Secondly, Yan Qin simply had a favourable impression of him, and was also a person with a strong sense of responsibility, which was why he made such a declaration.

What Lin Sui wanted was not this kind of responsibility, so he declined, merely thanking Yan Qin for his protection and telling Yan Qin to not think too much about it.
After Yan Qin heard his words, he was particularly silent, walking away without looking back, only to turn back a moment later and hand him a jade pendant, telling Lin Sui he could send him a message whenever he needed.

Lin Sui was the best at seizing opportunities, and at exploiting them.

“I seem to have been really bad to him.”

Lin Sui looked out the window at the lush branches, a dark light playing across his eyes.

Then let’s just create a little opportunity for him, Lin Sui narrowed his eyes and the corners of his mouth raised slightly.

One day, while riding the car, he mentioned something to his chauffeur, Old Wu.

“I heard your mother has been ill recently?”

Old Wu was an old driver with twenty years of experience, and he’d been driving for Lin Sui for seven or eight years.
His skills with the car were very steady, and he conducted himself in an honest manner, never spreading any secrets he heard.
Whether it was the original owner or Lin Sui himself, they were both very pleased with him.

Hearing the young master suddenly chatting about his family, Old Wu clearly had some trepidation and hastily said: “Thank you for your concern, young master, my mom is getting older, so her health is inevitably poorer.”

“I heard that she still had to go get surgery, don’t you need to go back and take care of her?”

Old Wu didn’t dare raise his head and meet Lin Sui’s gaze, and his heart thumped as he tried to analyse Lin Sui’s tone, not knowing what he could have missed to displease the young master.

He wiped the sweat off his forehead and said: “My wife is looking after her, my younger brother and his wife also have the time.”

“Why don’t you go back to look after her for some time? After all, nothing can be said when people start getting on in years,” Lin Sui’s fingers lightly tapped against the seat, and he faintly said, “You’ve been driving for me for so long, I wouldn’t treat you unfairly.
Take some more money back with you and I’ll have someone arrange another good job for you.”

“During this time, you’ll be very distressed that you can’t find a suitable person to replace you, because your mother’s illness is very serious and she can barely leave your care, so you’ll confide more and more in the people in the villa until someone comes to resolve your emergency.
Do you understand what I mean?”

These words were so meaningful Old Wu broke out into a cold sweat.
He met the radiant young man’s gaze through the rear-view mirror and nodded again and again after a shock.

“I understand, my mom can’t leave my care, I’m now very anxious.”

The young master spoke very clearly, and Old Wu’s brain turned a few times before he understood what the young master meant.
Although the didn’t know what the young master’s purpose was, as long as he did things according to the young master’s intentions he would be able to bring more money back home, and moreover he wouldn’t lose his job.

A soft, indistinct laugh rang out inside the car, representing the young man’s praise.

A huge, inexplicable feeling of dread arose in Old Wu’s heart, as if there was a bottomless abyss behind him, a hunter who was inexplicably linked together.

This ‘anxiety’ of Old Wu’s just ‘worried’ him for ten days or so.

Since the young master instructed him he could only speak to the servants in the villa, Old Wu specifically told people that the reason he couldn’t find anyone was because his own friends weren’t particularly reliable, and he was afraid they would irritate the young master.

The servants in the villa all knew the young master’s temper, so they simply never doubted his words and even sympathised with him.

Old Wu didn’t understand, where on earth was that person the young master said would drop in to resolve his ‘emergency’?

When he reported that no one had come looking for him, the young master leisurely smiled and said: “There’ll be someone.”

Old Wu didn’t understand, but it wasn’t until a brother from his hometown contacted him and told him he was worried about his son’s job that Old Wu reacted in fear.

The son of this fellow villager specialised in studying driving, and he was very knowledgeable about cars.
Although he couldn’t be considered an old driver, Old Wu had personally experienced his skills, and he was no different from someone with ample experience.
Moreover, his character was honest and he never spoke more than he had to.

Not only was he the son of a fellow villager whom he knew very well, so the security was obvious, but also this fellow villager hinted that, if Old Wu’s mother recovered from her illness in the future and he wanted to come back, his son would be able to give him back his position at any time.
This was simply an exceptionally good choice, like bringing a pillow for someone napping.

Old Wu reported this matter to the young master, trembling with fear, and caught sight of the young man’s red lips through the mirror.
He somewhat absent-mindedly left the villa carrying a large sum of money under the light of the setting sun.

The servants in the villa knew the young master had a new chauffeur whose temper was dull and very diligent.

Lin Sui didn’t plan on doing anything too quickly, after all, the time was still long, and if the puppy saw the flower from last time, it should have been enough for the aftertaste to last him a long time.

Easy does it, he was in no hurry.

Sometimes, Lin Sui would think that the System’s existence was pretty good.

After all, it could provide him with a general background of the world.
Even an idiot with knowledge of key points in advance would know how to hug someone’s thigh, let alone an ambitious person such as himself.

This world had people who were geniuses from birth, but who would have thought that the future, famous first-rate hacker who was now only beginning to show his talents, was presently just a poor wretch who slipped inside a restaurant pretending to be a guest just to sponge off some food and drink?

Inside the Western-style restaurant, it was almost closing time, and there were only two tables with guests remaining in the dining hall.

When someone got up to pay her bill, the young man sitting to the side and staring for a long time moved to her place fast as lightning and ate her cold leftovers like a strong wind sweeping the clouds away.

This scene was soon discovered by a waiter, who cruelly snatched the plate away and looked down on the skinny young man he’d pushed to the ground.

“Shameless thing, if you don’t have money don’t come into this kind of place, what are you pretending for? You don’t deserve to eat these things, you’re not qualified to eat even leftovers, you wouldn’t even be fed pig food, disgusting!”

The young man’s method had indeed been inappropriate, but he still shouldn’t receive these kinds of insults.

There would always be people who, when they spent a long time in what they considered a classy place, would also think they had become integrated with the place and part of it’s grandeur, so they looked down on others with a scowl.

Wu Qiu was used to this kind of supercilious look, but he paid it no mind.
However, when he was preparing to crawl away, he heard the sound of clapping.

The sound came from not far away, and when he looked over, he was momentarily stunned by other party’s appearance.

“Well said, there are indeed some things only qualified people can eat.”

The young man carried an inherent arrogance on his body, and his scornful words sounded pleasant coming from his appearance.

Wu Qiu was swept over by his gaze, scratching his palm in inexplicable embarrassment, feeling like he wanted to escape from this place but being stopped from doing so.

The waiter who had been approved of happily stepped forward to serve the last guest in the dining room, reminding him to have his meal as quickly as possible.

“There’s no rush, I’ll keep ordering.”

“But the Chef is almost…..”

“Young master Lin!” The restaurant manager came running over, nodding and bowing as he greeted him, hastily interrupting the waiter’s words, “If you want to eat, the Chef will naturally prepare it for you 24 hours a day.
Your presence brightens up our humble establishment, don’t hesitate to say whatever you want to eat.”

Lin Sui drew a line down along the menu, and the restaurant manager nodded at once.

When the fine food, which was obviously much more than what one person could eat, was brought out, it emitted a rich fragrance.

“Please eat, only those qualified can eat these.”

Wu Qiu, who still thought he had met a kind-hearted person, gulped incessantly, but afterwards discovered that the young man was not looking at him.

That waiter pointed at himself, overwhelmed by the favour he received, and only after receiving an affirmative reply did he excitedly express his thanks to Lin Sui and sat down at the front of the table, beginning to enjoy the meal.

His whole face was flushed, and the restaurant manager beside him stared at him with envy, thinking this person had been lucky enough to be blessed by young master Lin.

When the waiter sensed his boss’ gaze, he grew more and more excited.

A person’s stomach capacity was limited, so the waiter soon put down his knife and fork.

“Keep going.”

The young man swirled the red wine inside his cup, a beautiful and vicious smile on his face, like there was a dark shadow attached to it, sending chills down people’s backs.

At this moment, the waiter finally realised something.
He tried to resist in terror, but was nailed to the spot by the young man’s light-as-a-feather words.

“I said, keep going.”

Cruel words came out of those beautiful lips, and his white teeth flickered with a cold light.

He was like leader of the coliseum, a tyrant on his throne, watching people painfully struggle.

Even the most beautiful things could be torture once they exceed the limit.

Now the manager finally understood the fear behind the people in the rumours.
He closed his eyes as he watched the waiter eat and vomit mouthful after mouthful.

The remains of undigested food that had been spat out made a complete mess on the table and gave off a foul stench.

The waiter’s face was covered in tears and snot, and pleas for forgiveness poured out from his mouth.

Lin Sui was naturally not planning on taking his life, nor was he planning on watching him finish eating.
He looked away somewhat disinterestedly, waved his hand, and got up to leave.

Wu Qiu, like a spectator forced to stay and watch, stood in place somewhat dazed at the end of the show.

The young man had not looked at him from start to finish, but Wu Qiu knew he had stood up for him, so after he realised this, he immediately broke out into a run and chased after him.

“Please let me follow you! I can do whatever you want!”

When someone heard the retelling of this incident, he was so angry he couldn’t eat for several days, and it was only after repeatedly confirming that no new bracelet had appeared on Lin Sui’s wrist that his mood finally eased up a little.
