Ch 48 – Newest Top Celebrity x Washed Up Film Emperor: Black Dress

“No problem.”

Yan Qin’s voice was a little low, and he stared unblinkingly at Lin Sui’s lips as they opened and closed.

If Lin Sui hadn’t spoken, he still would have approached him on the grounds of apologising and played to his strengths, but since Lin Sui brought this point up first, then it was naturally ideal.

He knew Lin Sui’s way of thinking.
Lin Sui wanted to act well, and he always wanted to stand at the top.
“The Stand-In” was a good start for him, and it allowed his position to rise with the tide, but his acting skills had been polished little by little, and merely for that one movie, so changing to another one might not be possible, and his reputation would inevitably fall when the time came.

Actually, aside from those people who sincerely wanted to polish their acting skills, most of the people in the industry didn’t care about this, just being able to make money was enough.
But Lin Sui was not the same, he wanted to make a name for himself, he had no shortage of money and he hadn’t entered the entertainment industry to pan for gold, he was not the same as the others.

Fortunately, he had what Lin Sui was looking for.

“So well-behaved?”

“It’s to ask young master Lin to be generous, and to let me off easy.”

Yan Qin’s appearance was like a domesticated wolfdog, submissive and obedient.

Lin Sui knew Yan Qin was simply not that pitiful, his previous blacklisting hadn’t hurt Yan Qin’s foundation, it had only been a bit of an annoying hindrance.
Yan Qin was doing well know, and it seemed that he not having resources was simply that he didn’t want them.

Yet he was here, hiding his wolf’s tail and pretending to be a good dog, putting on an act.

But he was just going to eat him up like this, and the corners of his mouth rose.

“You’ve got sense, there’ll be many benefits for following me.”

In fact, when Lin Sui first arrived into this world, he began to think about how to make things difficult for Yan Qin this time.

He could actually make Yan Qin sign under him and muzzle him with a contract, naturally he could torment him like this, but Lin Sui really didn’t want to do that.
The method was pretty low grade, and the efficiency was too poor.

After that, he decided that, before the time came, he would be in control of the influence while at the same time suppressing Yan Qin’s performance.

Just like in the movie “The Stand-In”, Yan Qin was playing as the supporting second male for him, so even if his performance was remarkable again, he wouldn’t be able to get the Best Male Lead or Film Emperor trophies.

Lin Sui pinched the thin cigarette between his fingers, he licked his lips and pinched his brows, looking for a place to put out the cigarette.

Yan Qin thought Lin Sui must not smoke much, he’d never seen him smoke during those few months while he was in the cast.

Yan Qin also didn’t really smoke, but in that moment he gladly took the cigarette from Lin Sui’s hand.

Lin Sui thought he’d throw it away, but unexpectedly Yan Qin put it in his own mouth.

Fragrance scattered in all directions, and the spark flickered.

Yan Qin bit the moist filter, his eyes darkening amidst the smoke as he calmly gazed at Lin Sui.

Something was clearly hidden there, calling back to that snowy winter night as hoarfrost fell on the ground.

Lin Sui pulled Yan Qin’s lapel, and was sucked in by Yan Qin’s lips.

Honey peach flavoured smoke spread everywhere, Yan Qin held the cigarette with one hand and Lin Sui’s nape with the other, forcing Lin Sui to look up as they kissed.

That ill-fitting shirt meant to show the painter’s laid-back attitude was also lifted casually all the way.

That cigarette, which had only been smoked for a few puffs, burned away without anyone caring, smoke drifting upwards, gradually dispersing.

When Su Rui knocked and came in, there was not a single soul inside inside the studio, only a cigarette was left inside the bin.

“Miss Sui, I’m sorry, our artists had to rush to their next notice, so we couldn’t continue with the new photoshoot.”

Fu Nai’s expression was apologetic.
Her boss seemed to be in a hurry to do something, so he had her relay this.

“No worries, we’ve already completed the shoot I had planned originally, I just had a new idea, but it seems I was unlucky.”

Although Su Rui felt a little sorry, she wasn’t disappointed.
In any case, it was a request outside of the programme, and she couldn’t do anything about it if they had something pressing come up, at worst, she would have to try to win Lin Sui over to photograph him again some other time.

Su Rui thought about the pictures in her camera and had a feeling that this issue would surely sell really well.

On the road, the two men inside the car quickly came to a decision.

“My house is nearby.”

Currently, distance was definitely the most conclusive factor, Lin Sui also went with him because of this.

Yan Qin’s former fame had been greater than Lin Sui’s current one, so the place he lived in was very private.

He lived on a high floor with a wide view.

Being clear-headed would always be different from being in a haze, and the circumstances were also different from that day at the beginning of the year.

Yan Qin had gained enough experience during those days so that now, here with Lin Sui, he was like a fish back in water.

Even though it wasn’t painful, Lin Sui still struggled to take it.
He knitted his brows tightly, then stretched out little by little.

Lin Sui pressed against the glass which had been warmed by the sun, swaying as he watched the world.

It looked to be around 3 or 4’o clock at the moment, outside the sun was bright and beautiful, and it overflowed with spring scenery.
Although there were tall buildings everywhere, there was still plenty of nice greenery, verdant and dense, flourishing.

The sofa in Yan Qin’s house was not big, he didn’t seem to be prepared for guests, and only used the place to live in, so even his sofa was for a single person.
Lin Sui’s feet dangled over the sofa’s armrest, they were held and lifted up again, and they swung softly in mid-air.

“Your house is really boring.”

Lin Sui mumbled.
The furnishings in Yan Qin’s house were too monotonous, there were four rooms, one was used as a study, one as a gym, one as a bedroom, and one as a small cinema.

“But the bed’s still soft.”

Yan Qin’s bed had been especially made since he would often have insomnia when he was deep into a script, so he really cared about his sleep.

“As long as you like it.”

Yan Qin kissed Lin Sui’s fingertips, a bit more of a smile on his face when he saw his contented appearance.

“Like it? It’s just so-so.”

Lin Sui raised the tone of his last words, he was unwilling to praise him too much even at this time.

Sweat dripped down his slender white neck, which was so warm, soft and satiny it didn’t feel too pleasant.

“So-so?”

Yan Qin was non-committal, but he acted in earnest.

Outside the window, the sky was already covered with tinted clouds, orange, red, and warm yellow, which was extremely beautiful.

As it was covered by the deep, dark curtain of night again, the bright moon hung high up.

A person’s stamina and endurance had its limits, so when the threshold was broken, one wouldn’t be clear-headed, and their external awareness of things would become fuzzy.

“What is this?”

Lin Sui looked at the black clothes Yan Qin had taken out, a little confused.

At this moment, he was already somewhat hazy, and his eyes were out of focus.

“Some clothes I want to see you wear.”

Yan Qin coaxed him in a low voice, letting Lin Sui lean against his body.

That soft black gown covered up the turbid filth, then became part of what sullied him.

Yan Qin had been right, this really suited Lin Sui.
He looked a hundred times more beautiful than he imagined, arousing his obsession.

The slender body held up the beautiful dress, but the owner of the clothes was too weak, so he couldn’t even stand up.

The dress spread out over the bedsheets, like a flower in full bloom, swaying gently.

Fortunately, he was the only one who could get a look at this view, and he was the only one who could control it.

Lin Sui woke up on the second day, his head was a little muddled, but his body actually felt refreshed.

He had no memory of what happened afterwards, he only felt like Yan Qin seemed to have never seen much of the world, insisting on eating him up completely1 and squeezing him dry until there was nothing left before finally being done.

This was actually exactly the same as before, and his ability was even better in the cultivation world.
After all, a cultivator was different from an ordinary person, and he wasn’t able to endure it even with his constitution.

He went to wash up, then opened the door to find Yan Qin preparing food, a few dishes already spread out over the table, all of which were mainly light food.

“You eat first, I still have another dish to make.”

Yan Qin scooped a bowl of warm congee and placed it in front of Lin Sui, carefully watching Lin Sui’s face.

That was not something he’d been planning for a long time, it was just an idea that was suddenly hard to control, in addition, Lin Sui’s vacant and absent-minded appearance had been particularly enticing, making it seem like he was his private collection.

Lin Sui nodded, then lowered his head to eat quietly.

Yan Qin discovered that it seemed like he didn’t remember, and he was a little disappointed, but there was also a baffling, strangely immoral satisfaction from seemingly having occupied Lin Sui without his knowledge.

This kind of state of mind and way of thinking was not good, but so what?

“Postpone whatever your schedule is soon and join a cast with me in half a month, I took a role.
I’m leaving the second male lead for you, it’s your responsibility to teach me.”

After Lin Sui finished eating, he left after leaving those words behind, egoistic and ruthless, as if Yan Qin was just a useful tool.

But Yan Qin wasn’t angry as he watched him leave.

Half an hour later, Yan Qin’s manager called.

“Lin Sui gave us a script and some advertising resources, what’s going on?”

“Just accept them, and send me the script.”

Yan Qin didn’t need to postpone his schedule, this was not the business he had recently been engaged in.

The advertisement resources Lin Sui gave him was the ambassadorship for a luxury watch, he was being very generous.

As for the script, it was jointly developed by a big director and a famous screenwriter, and with Lin Sui there, the investment would not be small.

However, Yan Qin didn’t regret having refused to accept these last time and using the same thing to make Lin Sui compensate.
That kind of joy could not compare with this kind of thing.

“Right, boss, I’ve been wanting to ask you, all we operate is the studio’s Weibo, do you have a personal one?”

Yan Qin recalled the contents of his Weibo, as well as the groups and super topics he was part of, and was silent for a few seconds afterwards, answering: “No, register an account for me.”

After hanging up, Yan Qin got on Weibo and did his daily sign-in to the super topic and check-in post, then went to the CP super topic and worked for a bit.

@It’s Suisui Ya: Hey I looked for you yesterday but you weren’t here, you’re finally online sister, are you busy with work?

@Yan Returns To Lin: Yeah.

How should he put it, he’d been with the wife starting from yesterday afternoon up until now, so he’d been very busy indeed.

@It’s Suisui Ya: You can do it! It’s another day full of energy!

@Yan Returns To Lin: Yeah!

Yan Qin was a little lonely, he was not full of energy today, it was impossible today.

Lin Sui didn’t know the mess Yan Qin was saying online every day, he seldom checked Weibo, and he checked things like super topics even less.

While reading the script, he appointed the second male role to Yan Qin.

The movie was called “Twelve Nights”, it was a currently relatively popular escape-the-killer type commercial movie.

The story was told from the male lead’s perspective.
The male lead was a beautiful and educated young man who opened his eyes to discover he was in a hidden room.

It was a large, circular, closed off hidden room, and there were twelve people total counting him, with every person having a sliding door behind them.
He and the others who woke up tried to push open or break the tightly-shut doors, but they discovered the doors were very secure.

There was a moment of chaos after everyone had woken up, then a screen located high up displayed the rules of the game.

It was an escape game, the first rule seemed to be very friendly, only those who survived twelve nights could regain their freedom.

But the second rule exposed the nature of the game, there must be one death every night, or else the “cleaner” would act and randomly select a target to eliminate.

The protagonist was very frightened, since he was still a university student and his combat value was very ordinary.

But fortunately, among the twelve people, there was his fanatical suitor, a taciturn man who’d been deemed as an ‘honest person’.

In order to live through twelve nights, he walked into that sliding door of his and used his body in exchange for protection, but things were never that simple.
