The Weakest Tamer Trash Picking Journey Begins

The Adandara brought its face closer when I was sitting down.

I reached out and stroked its nape.

Its fluffy fur felt nice.

I thought that it was fine now because Sora healed it, but I made sure it has no more wound while stroking all over its body.

The Adandara didn’t get mad even though I touched it all over.

When I stroked its neck, it closed its eyes, feeling comfortable.

… Perhaps it was not an Adandara?

I thought I read in the book that Adandara was a rare monster, brutal and uncontrollable.

To beat one Adandara, you need more than 5 teams of top-ranked adventurers…I guess?

The Adandara lookalike monster was growling.

What else was written about it?

Ah, I read that you would be killed if you met its eyes.

…I felt like I had been looking at this monster since before.

I stared at the Adandara lookalike monster in front of me.

I completely met its eyes.

Clearly it didn’t match what was written in the book.

Perhaps there is a similar monster.

When I saw Sora, it was bouncing contently.

There were bubbles forming even though Sora was not eating.

I was worried, but there was no one to ask anyway, so I could only observe.

When I was worrying about Sora, I sensed several people’s presence approaching.

Were they in a hurry? They were approaching hastily.

 

“Run! Somebody’s coming!”

 

I pushed the Adandara lookalike monster’s rear and pointed my fingers towards the depth of the forest.

After it growled and nuzzled its head against my head, it dashed into the forest.

 

“How quick! Sora, see, it’s so amazing!”

 

Oops, I have to hide Sora.

I quickly hid Sora in my bag and tried to stand up, but…I still had no strength in my legs.

Let’s take a short break here and then return to the village.

3 people were heading here in a hurry, and apparently they were the patrolmen.

When they saw me, they came closer cautiously.

 

“Are you all right?”

 

“Yes.
I’m a bit tired and just taking a break.”

 

Taking a break in an empty space the forest…sounded unnatural.

I watched the situation, thinking that they would say something to me, but they were checking around the forest.

“We got an information that an unfamiliar monster was sighted around here, so we came to confirm.”

 

“Did you see anything?”

 

An unfamiliar monster?

Was it the Adandara lookalike monster from before?

“I see, the information said it was rampaging.”

 

Rampaging?

Apparently they were talking about a different monster.

That reminds me, it was almost dead before Sora healed it.

Was the monster that caused its wounds around here?

I looked around in a hurry.

 

“Hahaha, it’s alright.
The information said the monster is around here, but apparently it has moved away.”

 

“Yeah, it’s not here anymore.”

 

“Oi, bloodstain here.”

 

Ah, that was the monster’s bloodstain.

What should I do?

 

“Did you see any injured animal or monster when you came here?”

 

“No, I didn’t.”

 

Ugh, I’m sorry.

It’s bad for my heart.

 

“Do you think it brought its prey to a safe place?”

 

“It is highly probable.”

 

“But there is a good deal of bloodstain.
Its prey should be a big monster or animal.
Did it take its prey away?”

 

“Surely it is a top-ranked monster, huh.”

 

“I wish it only came here by chance to chase after its prey.”

 

There was only that Adandara lookalike monster, though.

Did it came here to escape because it was chased?

Or otherwise was it hunting something?

I felt strength had returned to my body…I think I can stand up now.

 

“Thank you.
I am going back to the village.”

 

I stood up and bowed once.

When I listened to their story here, my heart was tingling.

The patrolmen were going to investigate this area a little more.

It should be fine because that monster must have gone quite far, right.

I walked towards the village.

Even so, why did Sora help that monster?

During the tree monster incident, Sora let me know about the danger.

Did Sora help that Adandara lookalike monster because it knew the monster would not attack me?

…It couldn’t be saying that it likes injuries, right?

I looked at the bag containing Sora.

I didn’t really understand, but I would let Sora do what it wants.

It might mean something anyway.

It might also mean nothing though…
