03. The Cube

Just as all the demons were searching for clues of the intruder, the culprit was long gone sinking into the unexplored part of universe where order was still not established and chaos reigned supreme.

A spark of light crossed the universe wilderness and sank deep into the chaotic cosmic ocean where even the supreme Gods won pass since it would be certain death. No one know what was in the light less chaos ocean, but there was a myth that all creation was made possible because of the chaos ocean.

The legend was that when the waves rise up and pushed outward new galaxies are born and when the wave resides and chaos was pulled back old galaxies will be destroyed and return back into chaos. Famously quoted as from nothing to nothing lies life. It was said each wave takes millions of years, and every wave will create a massive change on the entire multiverse, yes, the Great chaos Ocean is not a specialty of our universe but is common for all universe or it would be correct to say it like this.

We can consider that all the universes are like islands in the great Chaos Ocean, and that if you could cross the chaos ocean you can pass through the multiverse which is the dream of all the Gods of every universe. Unlimited Universe Unlimited potential.

Thats why all the Gods came together to put a stop to the religious wars and leave the mortals to their own devices were working on creating a way to travel through the Chaos Ocean. If they have seen that the white light easily travelling through the raging chaos they would have gone crazy.

Well, its near impossible to build a device like this, you could only chance upon it if you are unbelievably lucky. Lets get back to our amnesiac MC.

Hey!! Its Mr. Nameless Again!

Its good to be back in one piece! Not sure where I am and who Kidnapped me from Hell. But they sure are taking their sweet time in seeing us. Us!

Yup! There are a few other souls with me to be exact five more but they don seem to be distressed not showing any interest in the new environment (a cage mage of light) any interest. Not sure whether they are super calm people or they have entirely lost it.

Well it seems to be we are again in a waiting game, not sure whats the deal with the afterlife guys may be its because they have unlimited time or something they are extremely patient like super super patient like they have totally forgotten that we are still here.

Hi, Its Nameless Again!

We are trapped in a light cage of 30×30 sq.m room for who knows how long but time seems to changing us, or at least the other guys with me they are slowly losing their shapes and are gradually becoming gaseous, I went ballistic for a few times and nearly went crazy if not for the strange fire in my soul thats keep on reminding my Death, I might have really gone nuts. Strangely the feeling of melting down to death keeps up my will power and holding me together.

Not sure how much time we have and the other guys seems totally gone now, they are now just floating balls of light.

What the hell they want from us?? From the initial happiness of escaping hell I am feeling like an idiot now, who in right mind would steal from hell, of course they are going to do something to us.

But what??

Ha! Yeah, still alive and conscious but not well.

Still in the cage.

With only one other.

Yes, the others are gone, not sure where.

But theres a slight hunch that I know where they went.

Went crazy a few times.

Each time one gone and each time fire gets stronger.

On that day our MC lost his final traces of humanity still lingering in his soul and finally accepts to be a Monster. With tears slipping down and shaking hands, for the first time he consciously devoured the conscience less soul and took a first step towards becoming a Nightmare.

An Old Man with a long beard and a half bald head wearing Hawaiian Shirt and shorts was lying on a beach couch enjoying the sun.

Although the old man seems weak and frail there was a regal air on him, like he was someone who shouldn be messed with. Its clear that he must have occupied a position of power for many years. If anyone saw him, they might have thought that he was enjoying his vacation if only there was no spheres made of different element circulating around him or the room entirely made of light behind him.

As the elemental spheres are revolving around him in their own orbits like planets revolving around the sun, he was mumbling something as he dozes off.

”I don know what takes this youngling so much time you just have to clear your quest and come out already it seems like I will turn into a skeleton by lying here doing nothing. ” He mumbled under his breath as a bubble formed from his nose looking a bit comical.

Just as the peaceful beach view seems like it will remain the same for the eons to come, the light cube the size of a room pulsed as if its going to explode waking the old man from his daze.

When the light cube glows at its brightest like its going to explode it just suddenly shrunken into a human shape absorbing a lot of whisps of energy from the atmosphere making the beach itself to disintegrate and returns to the original structure of cloudiest space making the old man going into shock.

”Shit, another monster popped out again ” he mumbled silently waiting for the phenomenon to stop.

Finally, after an unknown amount of time, with almost two-third of the clouds being absorbed into the human spirit it formed the shape of our favourite soul Nameless.

His body was condensed of light blinding those who would see directly slowly loses its glow. And finally, he opened his eyes showing dark pupils which seems like it would absorb everything. Just as he was taking in the strange space he was in again, an old man in regal clothes looks like he was coming out of some Fantasy anime appears before him with a smile. Behind him 6 different spheres where floating as if they would attack if he gives a nod.

”Ha, it seems you are stable, well then Welcome to the Cube ” said the Oldman with a smirk.
